U.K Based Hobby Breeder Of Snails, Slugs, Isopods, Millipedes, Phasmids & Native Bugs.
Welcome to collective-creatures.com
We started keeping inverts many years ago to give our home educated children something different to study, this gave them a bit of a head start with their biology studies & entomology and then we found out just how addictive bugs can be!
As their interest & our collection grew we set up a one page website in 2012 to share our invert photos & experiences and now after all these years of keeping & studying them we have lots to spare and will soon be adding them to an online shop as they become available.
.
As well as keeping inverts I also enjoy gardening and spend just as much time outside as I do in the bug room so I have decided to sell some of the plants that me & the kids have grown on from seeds or cuttings, please keep an eye on our shop for our plant section to be ready - most of our plants are good for pollinators & caterpillar food and we have a few herbs growing on which should be available soon.
Plants for Wildlife
We only ever sell surplus offspring that we have bred ourselves.
We keep our small creatures purely as a hobby for our children to raise.
We do not sell wild caught inverts and we do not buy in livestock for sale purposes.
Unwanted inverts & eggs...
The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Prohibits the release into the wild, any animal species not native to Great Britain.
Non native species can seriously damage our own fragile ecosystem.
If you ever have unwanted snail eggs, please freeze & crush them properly BEFORE disposal.
