Arion ater
Adult Size: 8 - 15cm
Preferred Food: fish flakes, mushrooms, fruit, most veg & leaf litter.
The mucus these slugs produce is only sticky when they are disturbed, I find the sides of the tub are really easy to wipe once a week with a bit of kitchen roll. They will contract into a dome shape if touched but left to ‘do what slugs do’ they are wonderful to watch in a display tank & babies from a mixed breeding group can grow up to show a huge range in colours.
PLEASE NOTE: babies are all yellow until they start to mature.
Sold as babies - adults depending on what we have.
